Government Pamphlets about Seafood
"There is a great wealth of useful material that's currently available to help homemakers make the best use of seafood, a fin source of protein for the family at any time of the year."
Today is the anniversary of the Printing Office that began operation on March 4, 1861.
You can still find documents today on the website of the U.S. Government Publishing Office.
In the 1970's, you could find valuable seafood publications issued by the Department of the Interior and the Department of Commerce.
If any of this sounds familiar, you might remember my previous post about the Superintendent of Documents.
In the 1970's, 80's, and even 90's you had to request certain government publications or go find them at the library.
Today, with our great open internet, we can just search for the information that we need!
In fact!
I found a document literally titled "Amending the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform Act to repeal certain disclosure requirements related to coal and mine safety"
Fascinating and Frightening things our government does.
