Feeding the Sick Family Member
"The 'cure' suggested by doctors for so many of the strange viruses that beset us in bed rest and lots of fluids, including juices, broths and bouillons, and eggnogs."
At this point in 2018 I am a pro at sick people.
We have had the flu, colds, random fevers, ear infections, and now eye infections.
We have not had a break and it takes a toll on the you physically and mentally when everyone in the family takes turns getting sick!
(honestly why I have been so behind in my daily blogging)
Here is the thing, you cannot rush a sick person to health.
You gotta take it slow and easy. Let them rest and let yourself rest. Feed the sick person. Choose healthy foods that are simple to eat and make. Cut the junk foods!
When a sick person is feeling healthy again to come join you at the dinner table, don't overwhelm them! Start off with small portions and if they want more great!
We survived off goldfish and apple juice. I really let the sick kids call the shots. It is ok to spoil a sick child! It just makes the day easier and less stressful for everyone.
