First Aid for Your Wood Furniture

"When wood furniture accumulates scratches and other blemishes, only complete refurbishing can restore the original appearance. Before going to the expense of a professional job, or starting this task yourself, try some first aid"

Ok 1970's.... First of All
Does IKEA furniture count as wood furniture?

Second of All

My kids are the destroyers of all things so there better be some good stuff in here.

Honestly, I love this picture for today! It's like you stumbled upon a beast in an enchanted castle where the furniture is so happy to see you taking care of them.

Geez if my furniture could talk it would sound like an Intensive Care Unit.

So onto Furniture First Aid!

1. Nut Meats
Say Wha
The oil from a Brazil Nut can provide enough color to hid minor scratches

2. Coloring Crayon
Literally just take a crayon the color or your wood piece and try to hide your mistake
This is my favorite tip!
Just color your table with a crayon
What!?

3. Shoe Polish
In the 1970's you still polished shoes. I remember watching Downton Abbey and seeing them polish shoes thinking "Oh how cute"
Nobody uses this anymore right?!

4. Iodine
Conceal scratches on red mahogany or dilute it for maple wood

Fun Fact: I refer to burnt food as mahogany

5. Rottenstone
I had to give this one the Google
It is a stone that you can in some add lubricant or oil to make a paste.
This will bring back some shine to your wood furniture.
Amazon Prime can get you some in a couple days.

Weekly Confessional

I have a horrible time keeping up my furniture.
You see I have these kids who make it their duty to break things.
My wood dining table is a mess.
Scratches, dings, dirt, syrup, etc.

There are fork marks on two sides of the table because a kid decided to take their fork and run it along the edge of the table forever ruining it.

I have given up on this.

Pro Tip
If you plan on having kids just don't plan on not having anything nice and this almanac post can be replaced with something like

Stuffed Lamb Cushion for Easter "Lamb is a traditional food for Eater. The lamb is a symbol of Jesus. In John 1:29 Jesus is referred to as "The Lamb of God", who takes away the sin of the world." Lamb is also a traditional Passover meal. In the book of Exodus, God was determined to save His people from their captivity in Egypt. The last plague He sent to Egypt was the death of the firstborn. God commanded that His people take an unblemished lamb, kill it, and but the blood of the lamb on their door post.  This would be a sign for the Angel of Death to "passover" the house and not strike their firstborn. It would be after their freedom from slavery that God would institute traditional sacrifice for sins that would involve a lamb. Jesus' last supper was the Passover meal. He and His disciples ate lamb before He instituted the new covenant, teaching His disciples to remember Him in communion.  Jesus would go on to be betraye

"Is There a Doctor in the House?" "Medical emergencies may occur at ay time, especially with young children. Prepare ahead of time by knowing exactly what you will do if it becomes necessary to get medical assistance quickly." Let's just sum up this blog post. AMERICAN HEALTHCARE SUCKS I hate doctors and their offices and their bills. This broken system we have is why "natural" remedies are becoming popular. We choose something other than a professional to treat us because our insurance won't cover services or the doctor might just misdiagnose us and throw meds at us. I'm sure this isn't everyone's experience. It has been mine for years. I had a good doctor once. If you want good medical services it will cost you. Remember when you could just go to a doctor? Now you have to make an appointment months in advance. If you need same day service, go to Urgent Care. If you are experiencing an
